Roy W Kraklau

Roy William Kraklau, age 87 of Garrison passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024, at the Mille Lacs Health Care System in Onamia. He was born on May 25,1937, in Daggett Brook, MN to Freda (Klapel) and Clifford Kraklau. He married Lorraine B. Rudolph on September 3, 1960, together they raised 12 children. Roy served in the 101st Airborne stationed in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Roy was a dairy farmer for over 60 years. He also drove school bus for Reichert Bus Service for 11 years. Roy enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a great teacher and had a master’s degree in smartassary; which he eagerly passed on to the following generations.

A celebration of life will be held from 1:00-5:00pm on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at the Daggett Brook Town Hall. Burial will take place at the Pine Tree Cemetery in Daggett Township.

Roy will be deeply missed by his wife, Lorraine; children, JoAnn Larson (Chris), Roy Kraklau Jr. (Heidi), Lori Thompson (Dale), Allen Kraklau, Jeff Kraklau (Debbie), Donna Jasmer (Joel) Sherlee Hewitt (Chris), Melonee Ruhl (Vince), Sheila Wing (Ben), Jason Kraklau, Marcia Kohl (Jim), Michelle Andres (Lee); fur baby, Holly; grandchildren, Christopher Larson, Megan Cummings (Tony), Joshua Larson (Sacha), Austin Kraklau, Alex Kraklau, Sarah Dano (Jason), Amber Woitalla (Russell), Rebecca Osvold (Brandon), James Kraklau (Marissa), Jennifer Norgard (Brandan), Jessica Radtke, Melissa Kraklau (Ricky), Kristina Lee (Josh), Codey Schellin (Tonya), Hannah Rasinski (Tyler), Rachel Ruhl, Sam Ruhl, Olivia Ruhl, Grant Wing (Kat), Courtney Wisniewski (James), Vanessa Kraklau, Cameron Moser, Hailey Bourgeois (Tyler), Mitchel Andres, Gavin Andres (Brooke), Riley Andres, Wyatt Andres, Westin Andres; 35 great grandchildren; siblings, Barb Dosh (Jerry), Pat Kraklau, Frank Kraklau (Kathy), Joe Kraklau (Denise), Tom Kraklau (Sharlene).

Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Freda Kraklau; stepmother, Marie Kraklau; brothers, Richard “Dick” Kraklau and Fred Kraklau; sister, Anna Kittoe; grandson, Jordan Kohl.
