Ruth Wig

Ruth E. Wig, age 80 of Brainerd passed away on February 13, 2019 at Woodland Good Samaritan in Brainerd. She was born to Lela (Strong) Roy Anderson on March 4, 1938 in Russell, Minnesota. Ruth grew up working hard on the family farm, but her passion for music became the focus of her long career. She and her family shared their home on Rice Lake with countless relatives and friends at gatherings over the years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald; parents; and sister, Dorothy Lang. Ruth is survived by her sons, Jeff (Laurie) Wig of Brainerd, and Tim (Jennifer) Wig of Northborough, MA; grandchildren, Katie, Becca, Elizabeth, Megan, and William; sister, Evelyn Zitterow of Burnsville. A Funeral for Ruth will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastor Hans Anderson officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 -11:00 am prior to the service on Saturday. Interment Vaale Cemetery in Brainerd.
