Sandra Marie Pederson

Sandra Pederson, age 89 of Brainerd, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, November 23, 2023. Sandra was born on December 14, 1933 in Brainerd to Frank & Nina (Callahan) Wels. She married Kenneth Pederson on February 17, 1951, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd. Ken and Sandra were very active and supporting members of Trinity Lutheran Church, and the local square dance club.

Through the years, Sandra's whole family enjoyed her homemade baked goods, especially the buns that would take all day to make. She enjoyed her weekly breakfast with the cousins, even more so in the last year and a half. Sandra loved flowers and if they were blooming, you'd find at least one on her table. Her family would always make sure she had flowering plants to enjoy. One of her favorites was the pink Azalea bush in the garden.

Sandra is survived by her children; Kevin (Laurie) Pederson, David (Kay) Pederson, Brenda (Steven) Hardies, Brian (Yvonne) Pederson, and Kaye (Jerry) Ringwelski; 19 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Ken; sister, Bertina Nelson; and great-grandson, Travis Kaikkonen

Sandra was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023 at 11AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd, with Pastor Sara Marshall officiating. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church – Brainerd.
