It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sheryl Lynn Jordan on October 25, 2024, at the age of 73. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at the Halvorson-Taylor Funeral Home in Brainerd, MN. Burial will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd, MN. A visitation will be held from 10-11 A.M. on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at the Halvorson-Taylor Funeral Home in Brainerd, MN. Caring for Sheryl and her family is Halvorson-Taylor Funeral Home in Brainerd, MN.
Sheryl was born on March 22, 1951 in Brainerd, MN, to Malcolm Jones and Lorraine Jones.
Sheryl married the love of her life and beloved husband, Dick Jordan on December 16, 1967. They were married for 50 years. They had 4 boys, Troy (Molly), Aaron (Jill), Josh and Chris. She has 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Sheryl was an amazing wife, mom, grandma and great grandma. The most important thing to her was her family. Over the years she enjoyed family camping trips, weekends watching Dick, Troy and now Jacob racing at North Central Speedway, watching Nascar and football with the family and every hunting season making sure she had Chili ready when all the boys returned. She also enjoyed crocheting and last minute trips to the casino. Her love for her family was unwavering.
She worked at Holiday Inn Manager of housekeeping for many years, drove school bus for a few years and spent many years working for DW Jones Property Management until she just recently resigned.
Preceded in death: Mother & Father, Lorraine Jones and Malcom Jones, her sister, Debbie Jones Peterson and her husband, Dick Jordan.
Survived by: sons Troy (Molly) Jordan, Aaron (Jill) Jordan, Josh Jordan and Chris Jordan; her grandchildren Jacob (Nikki), Jeremy, Macy, Drake, Jorden, Bryce, Brooke, Katelyn (Conner), Addison, Ava, Steven (Victoria) and Jadeah; great grandchildren Marley, Kyeler, Aryanna, Kayson, Maverick, Julianna and Ellianna; brothers Kevin (Anne) Jones, Ricky (Debbie) Jones, Steve (Ronda) Jones and Tom Jones; brothers-in-law Danny (Lucille) Jordan and Larry (Chris) Jordan, and she is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
