Sonja Grams

Breezy Point, MN. Sonja Grams, born September 27, 1941 in Brainerd, MN moved to heaven on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at age 79. She passed in her sleep surrounded by her husband of sixty years, Ron Grams. They had one daughter, Melanee Korf of Pequot Lakes and one son, Ron Jr (Marcy), of Plymouth, MN. Sonja was the eldest child of Merle and Helma Gallant. Sonja was preceded in death by two sisters, Marlene (Dave) Jackson and Nita (Gus) Johnson. Her son-in-love, Mike Korf also preceded her in death. Sonja’s second great-grandchild, Amelia Grace, also met her in heaven having passed at age two in May 2016. Sonja has three brothers, Merle Jr, Norm and Bill Gallant, all from the Brainerd area. Sonja loved family, cooking and baking for them, sewing, gardening, garage sailing and lots of hugs. She has seven grandchildren: Ryan (Dayna), Savanah (Spencer Neitzel), Pastor David (Allie) and Jonathan (Hannah) Grams; Hannah Brandanger and Alex and Andrew Korf. Sonja has six great grandchildren. Sonja held several jobs settling in at Crow Wing County’s Social Services department. She retired from there in 1996. An Open House, at-home-celebration of Sonja’s life is being planned for Saturday afternoon, July 24th at their Breezy Point Home, 8912 Breezy Point Boulevard.
