Sophia Zilka

Sophia Rose Zilka, age 7 of Brainerd, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019. Sophia was born on April 26, 2012 in Little Falls to Tami ZIlka. She will be forever missed by her mom and her sister, Zoey. Tami’s letter to Sophia: I don't have enough words to do you justice Soph, but maybe it was supposed to be that way. You have taught me more in your short time here then I could ever teach you. Anyone who actually gave you the time is better for it. You had a smile that could light up a room and warm the coldest of hearts. Your smile made the hardest days manageable. I know we aren't even 24 hours into you leaving your broken earthly body where you were bound to your wheelchair and unable to run, play, sing and dance without limitations. You had your best day today, but for those of us left behind we are struggling. While we are happy you are healed and made new, the thought of not being able to hug you or pick you up and tickle you, play with you, or see what new adventure we have in store breaks my heart. My sweet girl, I am not sure what I did to ever deserve to be your mom, but I can't thank you enough for all you have shown me. Now while you are playing in heaven, I am going to ugly cry and try to find the strength to rebuild my world which seems to be in limbo. Please don't ever forgot how much I love you. A memorial service remembering Sophia will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 2PM at Verndale Family Life Church (402 Clark Dr). Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
