Steven D. Clark

January 18, 1929 — July 27, 2018

Steven Daniel Clark, age 88 of Fort Ripley, passed away on July 27, 2018 at 1:55 p.m. He peacefully left his wife, Susan and five children. Steve was an electrician by trade, and a faithful member of the Masons. He was a Navy Veteran who served during the Korean War. He loved to fish and spent much of his time on the pier in Venice, Florida. He wrote nine books and spent much of his time selling them on the pier, which gave him the chance to meet and talk with thousands of different types of people. He will be missed by many and forever loved by his entire family. Steve will be deeply missed by his wife of 66 years, Susan; children, Deb (Bob) Murphy of New Brighton, Aaron Clark of Fort Ripley, Candy (Doug) Swanson of Blaine, Kim (Greg) Schmidt of Naples, Florida; Vernon (Imogene) Clark of Atlanta, Georgia; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 1 brother; and 2 sisters. He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and five brothers. A Family Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, August 3, 2018 at the Halvorson Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd. Gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls. A Celebration of Life Fish Fry will be held in July of 2019.
