Susan Pratt

Susan Marie Pratt, age 77, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at her home. She was born on February 14, 1948, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Willis and Lois (Paulson) Haugene.

On August 30, 1969, Susan married Richard Pratt, and together they raised two children, Eric and Kara. For many years she operated The Children’s Garden daycare, where her love of children shone through in everything she did. Susan had a warm and generous spirit and found joy in caring for others. She especially loved children, animals, socializing with friends, cooking, and baking.

Susan is survived by her children: Eric and Stacy Pratt, and Kara and Eric Frome; her grandchildren: Cassie and Brandon Norcross, Andrew Pratt, William Pratt, and Emma Frome; and her siblings: Steven Haugene, Janet (Truett) Stoneberg, and Nancy Baker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard; sisters-in-law Sandee Haugene and Sharon Hill; brother-in-law Bob Hill; and brother-in-law Scott Baker.

A memorial service for Susan will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Lutheran Church of the Cross in Nisswa, Minnesota. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Halverson-Taylor Funeral Home in Brainerd, Minnesota, is assisting the family.
