In Loving Memory of Todd Douglas Nutter
February 17, 1961 – January 1, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Todd Douglas Nutter, who left us on January 1, 2025. Todd was born on February 17, 1961, to Doug and Phyllis Nutter. He lived a life full of adventure, joy, and love, leaving behind a legacy of unforgettable memories and an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone who knew him.
Todd had a passion for the outdoors, from bow hunting and fishing with his father, Doug. He loved riding his Harley and snowmobiling with friends. He spent countless hours cooking wild game and fish, sharing his love for the hunt and the kitchen with those closest to him. His love for nature also extended to his garden, where he embraced the challenge of growing new things, always with a sense of pride and determination.
One of Todd's greatest joys was spending time with his family. He shared a special bond with his daughter, Laci, and loved his Tuesday night movie dates with her, especially when they would indulge in their shared love of horror films. A man of many talents, Todd was a fantastic pool player and enjoyed competing in friendly games with anyone willing to take him on.
An avid reader, Todd found great pleasure in the books of Dean Koontz, and his love of good stories extended far beyond the pages. He was a conversationalist at heart, always eager to tell a tale or share a piece of wisdom, and his stories could fill hours of laughter and joy. Todd had a knack for making friends, and whether he was with Kim, his wife/girlfriend, or his many friends, you could count on him to make you feel heard, seen, and appreciated.
Todd’s love for music, particularly the bands he shared with Kim, was something that filled his soul. He loved attending fast-paced concerts, embracing the rhythm and energy that music brought into his life. Whether hanging out with friends, enjoying a joint, or simply talking for hours, Todd found peace and comfort in the simple pleasures of life.
While his coffee mug was often misplaced, Todd’s love for coffee was unmatched. No matter where he left it, Todd was always in search of his favorite cup, fueling his days with caffeine and a smile. His playful sense of humor and zest for life were evident in all his little quirks
Todd’s spirit was never far from his roots. Growing up in Randall MN on the farm and spending many years in Cushing, he spent much of his life working alongside his dad and brother, building houses and creating memories. His time spent in Mexico with family and friends was a cherished chapter in his life, as was his deep connection to his Native American culture, which he held close to his heart.
Todd was also known for his involvement with KC’s Saloon, where he worked alongside Kim to support and help organize many events.
Todd leaves behind his beloved family, including his wife/girlfriend Kim, daughter Laci, parents Doug and Phyllis Nutter, brother Tadd (Julie), and nephews Cody and Dalton. He will also be missed by his sisters Deann (Kevin), Zachary, Joshua, Laura (Dan), Tegan, Laila, Kiza, and Ella, aunts Joan & Jackie, sister-in-law Val (Bryan) Myles, Eric, and countless other extended family and friends. His loyal companions, Ford and Zoey, and his many furry friends will also miss his presence dearly.
Todd’s love for life, his sense of humor, and his unwavering spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him. He was a man who embraced every moment, shared his love generously, and lived life on his terms. We take comfort knowing that he is now at peace, and his stories, laughter, and love will continue to live on in all of us.
Gone but not forgotten, Todd. You will be deeply missed.
“A man’s legacy is the love he leaves behind.”
