Tom D Kenton

Tom D. Kenton of Baxter, MN passed into eternal rest on April 16, 2022, at Essentia Health Medical Center, Brainerd, MN. Tom was born on August 26, 1949, in Kansas City, MO. He was a 1967 graduate of Shawnee Mission High School in Overland Park, KS. Tom enlisted in the Marine Corp Reserves after graduation and was honorably discharged in 1973.
Tom loved the “open road” and was well suited for his career as an over the road trucker until his retirement.
Tom moved to the Brainerd Lakes area in 1992 where he lived for the past 29 years with his wife, Orla. He was an avid student of the Bible and loved sharing God’s word with others. For a time, he volunteered with the local jail ministry.
Tom was preceded in death by his stepfather, Dominic Cervello; and half-brother, Rick Kenton. He is survived by his wife, Orla; mother, Margie Cervello; stepson, Sayer Payne (Althea Kure); and grandson, North.

Private celebrations of life are planned in Baxter, MN and Leawood, KS.
